You entered adulthood expecting to be more settled than your younger self with more confidence about your life journey. People in your life see you as responsible and capable, often noting your ability to meet or exceed expectations. However, your internal experience is a hidden reality; persistent tension and disconnection, self-doubt and a negative inner voice that reminds you of old rules. Life patterns from your childhood and teen years seem to constantly pop-up, affecting your personal and professional roles in stressful ways, even though your life no longer resembles the environment that shaped them.

Trauma is about what happened and how your nervous system learned to adapt in order to survive. Those adaptations vary person-to-person. Some people become hyper-aware, anxious, and mentally and emotionally overwhelmed. Others become guarded, numb, and emotionally distant. Most move between both. Past experiences shape current patterns of thought, physical sensations, and behavior long after the experiences of trauma have ended.

I work with individuals ages 17-and-older who want to understand and change these patterns in a practical, grounded way. My patients are often high-functioning individuals who are embarking on important life milestones: building careers, relationships, and independence, working to feel settled in a life they are working to achieve. Many have grown up navigating environments where they felt different, unseen, or under pressure to perform, and now find that those early experiences keep showing up in their adult lives.

I bring both clinical training and lived understanding of what it means to operate competently while carrying unspoken stress, vigilance, or emotional fatigue. Therapy here is a space where you do not have to minimize or justify your experience. My approach integrates cognitive and behavioral strategies with somatic awareness so we can explore how your thoughts, physical sensations, and behaviors interact in real time. Rather than only talking about the past, we focus on how it is shaping your present and how to build new patterns that support the adult you are becoming. The work is structured, collaborative, and focused on creating real change, not just insight.

With over 14 years of experience working with people impacted by trauma, I help patients move out of survival mode and into greater emotional stability, self-trust, and clarity. If you are capable on the outside but feel internally unsettled, or if you are tired of old patterns interfering with the life you are trying to build, therapy can help you move forward with more confidence and ease.

  • You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non- emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. Parents and couples face challenging obstacles that affect their unique bonds.

The overwhelm of managing school, jobs, relationships, and personal needs can lead to difficult emotions - worry, sadness, isolation, and confusion. Dysfunction can develop if we are unsure how to handle these difficult emotions.

One-on-one support enhances the journey of creating healthy relationship dynamics. My goal is to share practical skills that expand communication and understanding, to improve family and intimate relationships.

I employ an eclectic approach, focused on person-centered, therapeutic strategies - dialectical, mindfulness based, cognitive behavioral, and play - within a plan tailor-made for your family and relationships unique needs. Connect with me today to learn how, together, we can lay the foundation for a healthier tomorrow.
